secure a continued, direct and timely bus service between Easton and Norwich after the removal of the Easton roundabout, so that residents who cannot drive, including disabled and elderly people, students and workers, are not cut off from the city.

From 1 July 2026, the First Bus Excel service stops serving Easton, dropping only at Longwater, because buses cannot use the access once the roundabout is removed under the A47 works. The Konnect 4 runs only hourly and does not get students and workers into Norwich in time. The loss falls hardest on those who cannot drive, cannot safely walk to Longwater, and rely on the bus. With hundreds of new homes coming to Easton, the need is growing. When works disrupted services elsewhere in the county, replacements were arranged. We ask the council to do the same for Easton.
